Shan-Lyn Ma is co-founder and CEO of Zola, the wedding company reinventing the wedding planning experience by combining compassionate customer service with smart tools and technology. Zola launched in 2013. Since then, Zola has achieved explosive growth, and has supported over 1 million couples on their journey from engagement to wedding and newlywed life. The company’s suite of tools includes: the premier all-in-one wedding registry, free wedding websites, beautiful save the dates and wedding invitations, and a local wedding vendor platform offering couples the ability to discover and book pre-screened wedding professionals. Zola is the only company where couples can plan their entire wedding all in one place. The company has been named one of the Wall Street Journal’s Top 25 Tech Companies To Watch and one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies. Before starting her company, Ms. Ma was chief product officer of Chloe + Isabel. Prior to that, she was Gilt Groupe’s first product lead where she led key new business launches, including their successful foray into mobile. Additionally, she was creator and general manager of Gilt Taste, the brand’s food and wine division. Before her time at Gilt, Ms. Ma held product and marketing roles at Yahoo!. She holds a degree in BCommerce with First Class Honors from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and an MBA from Stanford University.
